Oh Joy.
Slow down.
Here I am sweating, sitting at the computer, jamming in a blog about slowing down. Do all teachers run around full tilt to accomplish a few things during recess? I had this morning decided that I was going to return emails, relax, and complete a few progress monitoring sheets, for upcoming grade cards and the end of school..yeah right. After a crazy morning of this and that....I am just getting organized.
Gotta go.Slow Down.Be.
Bounce.
New.
Thoughts on a roller coaster ride called...TEACHing.
A poetry blog - roller coaster poetry - because,
1) teaching poetry taught me to love writing poetry,
2) there's no day like today to start something new, and
3) I can share it with you.
I hope you try something new today, too.

Everyone Was Sure.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody would not do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Happy Hoppy Day.

This Is Today.
"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."

Today.
Leo Buscaglia : The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents. Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around. It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt.
